Assignment Dates: August 3, 2026 – May 28, 2027
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week
Student Population: Elementary and Secondary
Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative School Psychologist to support students across elementary and secondary grade levels in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team to promote students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral success throughout the school year.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations.
- Participate in eligibility determinations and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Develop and interpret assessment reports.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers to support student achievement.
- Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Provide consultation regarding behavioral, academic, and social-emotional interventions.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state and federal special education requirements.
Qualifications
- Specialist-level degree or higher in School Psychology.
- Current New Mexico Public Education Department (NM PED) School Psychologist license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Strong assessment, consultation, and collaboration skills.
- Experience working with school-aged students is preferred.
