This rewarding, onsite contract role is conveniently located near Arlington, TN, with four openings available: two at the elementary level, one in PreK, and one in high school. All positions are self-contained classrooms, offering a structured and supportive environment to foster each learner’s growth.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Tennessee teaching license
  • 459 or 461 teaching endorsement (as required for Special Education roles)
  • CDC (Comprehensive Development Classroom) certification
  • Experience working in self-contained classroom settings strongly preferred
  • Passion for fostering social, behavioral, and academic growth
  • Commitment to inclusive education principles
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students
  • Deliver engaging lessons tailored to a variety of learning styles and needs
  • Maintain a positive, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
  • Collaborate regularly with families, service providers, and school staff
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress records
  • Utilize suitable assistive technology and resources for instruction

The schedule for these positions is 8:00am to 3:00pm, Monday through Friday, allowing for a healthy work-life balance throughout the school year.
