Position: Special Education Teacher – 5th Grade
Location: Meredith, New Hampshire
Assignment Dates: August 31, 2026 – December 23, 2026
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
School Hours: 7:55 AM – 3:25 PM
Student Service Hours: Approximately 8:30 AM – 2:45 PM
Our staffing agency is partnering with a local school district in Meredith, NH to hire a certified Special Education Teacher for a temporary full-time assignment serving a 5th-grade caseload during the first half of the 2026–2027 school year.
This position supports approximately 12 students with reading, math, and executive functioning needs. The successful candidate will primarily provide instruction in small-group settings while working closely with the general education team to ensure students receive individualized support and make meaningful academic progress.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction to a caseload of approximately 12 fifth-grade students.
- Deliver targeted interventions in reading, mathematics, and executive functioning skills.
- Collaborate regularly with grade-level general education teachers to support student success.
- Implement IEP accommodations, modifications, and goals.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
- Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications
- Active New Hampshire Special Education teaching certification (or ability to obtain prior to start).
- Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to helping students achieve academic and personal growth.
