As the primary school psychologist for early childhood (ages 3 and 4), you will conduct screenings and play-based assessments to help shape student supports from the very start of their educational journey. Your role will also include participation in initial IEPs and providing day-to-day support for students as needed. You’ll collaborate closely with fellow professionals and families, fostering a nurturing foundation for growth and learning.
What you’ll bring:
- Valid PEL (Professional Educator License)
- Experience or enthusiasm for working with preschool-aged students
- Strong assessment, observational, and communication abilities
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
Your responsibilities will include:
- Administering and interpreting early childhood assessments and screenings
- Supporting initial IEP development and meetings
- Addressing the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students
- Providing daily support to staff and students within the early childhood program
- Keeping thorough, organized documentation of student progress and interventions
You’ll work a consistent schedule from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with orientation held August 11th and 12th, and the assignment running from August 14th through May 28th.
