This full-time, contract opportunity is perfect for an enthusiastic General Education Math Teacher who’s ready to start at the beginning of the academic year and see their students through the end of May. You'll work closely with a dedicated team of educators, helping high school students develop the mathematical skills they’ll need for future success.

What you’ll need to bring:

  • A valid, active Louisiana Department of Education teaching certification (not temporary—must be finalized prior to start)
  • Previous experience teaching general education math at the high school level is recommended
  • Flexibility and adaptability for working at one or more campuses (assignments TBD)
  • Strong communication skills for engaging with diverse learners and collaborating with staff
  • Commitment to completing all required pre-employment screenings, including a district-specific drug screen and fingerprinting process

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, standards-based math lessons to high school students
  • Assessing student progress and differentiating instruction to meet varied learning needs
  • Maintaining an organized, productive classroom environment
  • Tracking student achievement and communicating regularly with parents and colleagues
  • Participating in professional development and faculty meetings as needed
