Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a School Psychologist serving vibrant elementary or middle school communities for the upcoming 26/27 school year. This onsite position offers the chance to work 20-30 hours per week in a dynamic educational environment located near Warren, MI. You'll support students across multiple buildings—either three elementary schools or two middle schools—helping foster an inclusive and supportive atmosphere where every student can succeed.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification (Michigan licensure preferred)
- Previous experience in a K-8 educational setting, with a proven ability to engage and support diverse student populations
- Strong assessment, counseling, and communication skills
- Familiarity with IEP development and special education protocols
- Ability to manage a case load across multiple school sites efficiently
- Collaborative and adaptable approach to school-based teamwork
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological and academic assessments to evaluate student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized support plans
- Provide counseling and direct support to students facing academic, social, or emotional challenges
- Participate in IEP meetings, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Offer crisis intervention and proactive consultation to school staff as needed
- Serve as an advocate for students, ensuring equitable access to resources and supports
