Pay: $25.00–$40.00/hr DOE + $68 Per Diem and Lodging + 10 Hours Overtime Guaranteed

\n

Schedule: 5 /10's (Saturday- Sunday potential)

\n

Duration: 5 - 6 Months with similar projects to follow

\n

Great Basin Staffing LLC is actively hiring experienced Low Voltage Technicians (LVTs) for one of the largest hyperscale data center construction projects in the United States.

\n

This is not an entry-level cable pulling position. We are seeking technicians with proven experience in structured cabling, fiber optics, data centers, network infrastructure, and large-scale telecommunications installations.

\n

What You'll Be Doing

\n
    \n
  • \n

    Install, pull, route, and dress fiber optic and copper cabling systems

    • \n
  • \n

    Work with high-count fiber trunks and backbone cabling

    • \n
  • \n

    Build out data halls, MDFs, IDFs, telecom rooms, and network pathways

    • \n
  • \n

    Install and terminate CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6A, and fiber optic cabling

    • \n
  • \n

    Perform rack-and-stack activities

    • \n
  • \n

    Install patch panels, ladder racks, cable tray, basket tray, and structured pathways

    • \n
  • \n

    Label, test, and document cable installations

    • \n
  • \n

    Maintain proper bend radius and fiber handling procedures

    • \n
  • \n

    Read blueprints, network drawings, pathway layouts, and installation details

    • \n
  • \n

    Support commissioning and turnover activities

    • \n

Preferred Experience

Candidates should possess experience in one or more of the following:

  • \n

    Hyperscale Data Centers (Meta, Google, Microsoft, AWS, QTS, Novva, Switch, etc.)

    • \n
  • \n

    Structured Cabling Systems

    • \n
  • \n

    Fiber Optic Installation

    • \n
  • \n

    Fiber Termination

    • \n
  • \n

    Fusion Splicing

    • \n
  • \n

    OTDR Testing

    • \n
  • \n

    Fluke Testing

    • \n
  • \n

    Rack & Stack

    • \n
  • \n

    Network Infrastructure Deployment

    • \n
  • \n

    Access Control Systems

    • \n
  • \n

    Security Systems

    • \n
  • \n

    Wireless Access Point (WAP) Installation

    • \n
\n

Minimum Qualifications

\n
    \n
  • \n

    3+ years of structured cabling or low-voltage installation experience

    • \n
  • \n

    Ability to pull, route, and dress fiber and copper cabling independently

    • \n
  • \n

    Experience reading telecommunications drawings and pathway layouts

    • \n
  • \n

    Familiarity with data center construction environments

    • \n
  • \n

    Ability to work safely in active construction settings

    • \n
  • \n

    OSHA 10 preferred

    • \n

    Fiber Certifications

    Data Center Experience

    E2 Optics, Prime Electric, Rosendin, Structured, Winthrop, Dynalectric, Cupertino Electric, Cache Valley Electric, or similar experience

    Fiber testing and troubleshooting experience
