We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Associate Veterinarian (DVM) to join a progressive, full-service small animal practice in the San Jose and Silicon Valley area. Position Details
  • Position: Associate Veterinarian (DVM)

  • Employment Type: Full-Time

  • Location: San Jose & Silicon Valley Area, California

  • Hiring: Immediate

Schedule
  • Preferred schedule of 4 shifts per week

  • Some locations may require alternating weekends

  • No on-call responsibilities

Compensation
  • Competitive salary based on experience

  • Monthly production bonus

  • Sign-on bonus and/or relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive physical examinations and diagnose medical conditions in companion animals.

  • Develop treatment plans and prescribe appropriate medications.

  • Perform routine soft tissue surgeries and dental procedures.

  • Interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results.

  • Educate pet owners on preventive care, nutrition, vaccinations, parasite prevention, and overall wellness.

  • Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to provide exceptional patient care.

  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records.

  • Deliver compassionate client communication and high-quality veterinary medicine.

Qualifications
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.

  • Active California Veterinary License or eligibility to obtain licensure.

  • DEA registration or eligibility to obtain.

  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience preferred.

  • Experience in surgery and dentistry is highly preferred.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client education skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced clinical environment.

Practice Environment
  • General small animal practice.

  • Modern diagnostic and treatment equipment.

  • Collaborative team of experienced veterinarians and skilled support staff.

  • Average caseload of approximately 10-18 patients per day.

  • Strong mentorship and clinical support available.
