Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

    \n
  • Manage the intake, tracking, and processing of subpoenas, legal correspondence, and other service of process requests.
  • \n
  • Support attorneys by preparing legal documents, responses, objections, and case-related materials.
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate records using legal case management and document tracking systems.
  • \n
  • Coordinate discovery requests, legal research, internal investigations, and document collection.
  • \n
  • Assist with litigation reporting, legal documentation, and process improvement initiatives.
  • \n
  • Develop and maintain legal procedures, training materials, and best practices.
  • \n
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, outside counsel, and external service providers to support ongoing legal matters.
  • \n

Qualifications:

\n
    \n
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; paralegal certification is a plus.
  • \n
  • 2+ years of paralegal experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of subpoena procedures, litigation, arbitration, and legal document management.
  • \n
  • Experience with legal case management or e-discovery platforms is preferred.
  • \n
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • \n
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • \n
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines, maintain confidentiality, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • \n
  • Experience in financial services or another regulated industry is a plus.
  • \n

Nice to have:

  • Experience working for a financial services company and/or in-house legal department.
  • \n
  • Proficiency with Legal Tracker, LexisNexis, and Relativity or other e-discovery platforms.
  • \n
  • Experience e-filing via PACER and state court online filing systems.
