Job Description
LHH is assisting a client in their search for an experienced Senior Accountant to support in a one year engagement. This individual will play a key role in supporting month-end close activities, maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, preparing journal entries, performing reconciliations, and assisting with financial reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. This is a hybrid position.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end account reconciliations.
  • Support month-end closing activities and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and reconciling items.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
  • Assist with financial reporting and variance analysis.
  • Support internal and external audit requests by providing documentation and account analysis.
  • Review accounting transactions for compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and resolve accounting issues.
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives and special projects as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a senior accountant role.
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, month-end close, and account reconciliations.
  • Experience preparing journal entries, accruals, and financial reporting schedules.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and work independently.
Pay Details: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour
