\nThe Remote Operations Manager will lead our project operations, with a primary focus on managing on-site activities, enhancing process efficiencies, and maintaining strong client relationships. This role requires frequent travel to client locations, where you'll supervise on-ground operations, ensure project alignment, and provide real-time solutions to operational challenges. Working remotely when not on-site, this position combines strategic oversight with hands-on operational management.
\nKey Responsibilities
\n- Client Site Operations Management:
\nTravel frequently to client sites to oversee project operations, coordinate with on-site teams, and ensure project milestones are met. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and maintain client satisfaction.
\n- Operational Strategy and Execution:
\nDevelop, implement, and optimize operational policies and procedures that support Zephyrus Engineering's goals. Coordinate remote and on-site teams for smooth project execution.
\n- Team Coordination and Leadership:
\nLead and support project managers and on-site teams, providing direction and resolving any operational challenges. Maintain open communication channels with remote and on-site staff to align on project objectives.
\n- Resource Allocation and Budget Management:
\nManage project resources, allocate budgets, and control costs to ensure project financials align with operational goals. Adjust resource distribution based on site needs and project timelines.
\n- Process Improvement:
\nIdentify and implement process improvements to increase productivity, reduce costs, and optimize workflows both on-site and remotely. Use Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to drive efficiency.
\n- Quality Assurance and Compliance:
\nEnsure that all project activities comply with company standards, safety regulations, and client requirements. Work with quality control teams to monitor and improve on-site quality standards.
\n- Risk Management and Safety Oversight:
\nProactively identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure safety and regulatory compliance at all times.
\n- Reporting and Performance Tracking:
\nMonitor and report key operational metrics, providing insights to senior leadership. Use data to track project performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive operational success.
\nRequirements
\n- Education:
\nBachelors degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field. A masters degree or certifications such as PMP, Lean, or Six Sigma are a plus.
\n- Experience:
\n5+ years of operations management experience, preferably within engineering or construction environments, with a background in managing remote and on-site operations.
\n- Ability to Travel Frequently:
\nWillingness and ability to travel extensively to client sites (up to 75% of the time).
\n- Leadership and Team Management:
\nProven leadership abilities with experience managing both on-site and remote teams. Skilled in mentoring, motivating, and maintaining team morale.
\n- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
\nStrong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex situations, provide solutions, and make decisions under pressure.
\n- Excellent Communication Skills:
\nAble to communicate effectively with remote and on-site teams, senior leadership, and clients. Clear, concise, and professional in both verbal and written interactions.
\n- Technical Proficiency:
\nComfortable with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello), ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with virtual communication tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
\nPreferred Qualifications
\n- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Six Sigma Certification**
