Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description
Responsible for developing, implementing, supporting and optimizing production processes within our steel manufacturing facility. The candidate will be responsible for improving product quality, reducing waste, increasing efficiency, and ensuring adherence to safety and environmental standards.
Main functions:
· Analyze and optimize existing steel production processes in the factory (e.g., assemblies, stamping, roll forming,etc).
· Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily production activities to meet output and quality targets.
· Monitor process parameters to ensure compliance with product specifications and safety standards.
· Support new product introductions and process changes.
· Analyze production data and KPIs to identify areas for improvement.
· Identify root causes of process deviations and implement corrective actions.
· Prepare work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and technical documentation.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams (maintenance, quality, production) to resolve technical issues.
· Design and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, 5S, and Kaizen.
· Provide training and technical support to operations staff.
Requirements
Training:
· Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
· Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.
Languages:
· English required
· Spanish desiderable
Experience:
· Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with a strong understanding of production processes and equipment. (Preferred)

· Production team members.
· Others departments.
Other Requirements:
· Knowledge in SAP or other ERP systems is highly preferred.
· Experience with Microsoft Office is highly preferred.
