Inpatient Hospital Staff Pharmacist in Mentmore, NM

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a Staff Pharmacist role based in Mentmore, NM, offering a 13-week contract with potential for extension. The position is situated within a Critical Access Hospital environment featuring 25 licensed beds and a focused team consisting of 1 Director of Pharmacy, 2 pharmacists, and 2 technicians. The site operates with Cerner as the order entry system and utilizes Pyxis for automation.

Responsibilities:

• Provide inpatient pharmacy services, including order verification and clinical support.
• Perform sterile compounding tasks, either currently involved or potentially incorporated into job duties.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure safe and effective medication use.
• Manage on-call duties as needed outside the regular Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm shift.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active New Mexico Pharmacy license.
• Demonstrated inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.
• Proficient in sterile compounding procedures.
• Familiarity with Cerner and Pyxis systems preferred.
• Flexibility for possible on-call assignments after hours.
• Acceptable for travel pharmacists, with convenient access to airports including Farmington, Albuquerque, and Phoenix.
