Job Description
Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting student communication and academic success in a vibrant school community. This full-time, onsite role runs from August 11th, 2026, through May 25th, 2027, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 am to approximately 4:30 pm. You'll work with a diverse caseload of 54 direct service students and 14 on a consultative basis, engaging daily in meaningful intervention and collaboration.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Current state licensure or eligibility as an SLP in Texas
- Proven experience providing therapy in school-based settings
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and mentor SLPAs
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary team members
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group speech-language therapy, targeting goals outlined in students’ Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Supervise and support SLPAs, fostering professional growth and ensuring quality therapy services
- Monitor, evaluate, and document student progress, determining when therapy services should be adjusted or concluded
- Consult with teachers, families, and related service providers to develop effective strategies, accommodations, and communication supports
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation to support student success and compliance
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to the educational team
