A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) contract opportunity is available for dedicated professionals eager to make a difference in elementary education settings. This position requires 37.5 hours per week and offers the rewarding experience of working closely with young students to develop their communication skills and confidence.
Key Qualifications:
- Active SLP license with Clinical Certificate of Competence (CCC)
- Previous experience or strong interest in working within school settings, especially with pediatric populations
- Comfortable managing an elementary caseload of approximately 80 students
- Experience or willingness to supervise a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Competence with teletherapy (VOCO) platforms a plus, though onsite availability is preferred at this stage
- Excellent documentation, communication, and collaboration skills with school staff and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech and language services to elementary-age students
- Evaluate, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans to address diverse student needs
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions to achieve IEP goals
- Maintain accurate records and timely reporting in alignment with school and regulatory guidelines
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and supervision to SLPAs as needed
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, psychologists, support staff, and families to enhance students’ learning experiences
