Occupational Therapist School Setting in New Britain, CT

What we’re seeking:

• Active Connecticut OT license (required)
• Previous pediatric or school-based occupational therapy experience preferred
• Ability to manage a district-wide caseload, traveling between multiple school sites as needed
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Collaborative spirit, comfortable working alongside teachers, administrators, and families
• Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive environment for all students

Primary roles and responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services onsite to students across the district, supporting a range of needs and abilities
• Conduct assessments and create individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to facilitate accommodations and strategies within the classroom
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation per school and state requirements
• Support students’ sensory, motor, and self-care skills to help maximize their participation and success in school life
• Communicate with parents and caregivers about student progress and strategies for support
• Adapt to the district’s needs, traveling as required between assigned school sites
