What we’re seeking:
- Active Connecticut OT license (required)
- Previous pediatric or school-based occupational therapy experience preferred
- Ability to manage a district-wide caseload, traveling between multiple school sites as needed
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Collaborative spirit, comfortable working alongside teachers, administrators, and families
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive environment for all students
Primary roles and responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services onsite to students across the district, supporting a range of needs and abilities
- Conduct assessments and create individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to facilitate accommodations and strategies within the classroom
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation per school and state requirements
- Support students’ sensory, motor, and self-care skills to help maximize their participation and success in school life
- Communicate with parents and caregivers about student progress and strategies for support
- Adapt to the district’s needs, traveling as required between assigned school sites
