Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification/license (Illinois credentials required)
  • Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or related field
  • Experience conducting educational and psychological assessments
  • Familiarity with special education processes, including IEP development and implementation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with students, staff, and parents
  • Problem-solving skills and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual and group assessments to identify students’ learning, behavioral, and emotional needs
  • Interpret assessment findings and provide clear, actionable recommendations for classroom interventions
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings to develop and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Offer counseling, crisis intervention, and positive behavior supports as needed
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create supportive educational plans
  • Stay current with best practices in school psychology and support professional development initiatives
