Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification/license (Illinois credentials required)
- Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or related field
- Experience conducting educational and psychological assessments
- Familiarity with special education processes, including IEP development and implementation
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with students, staff, and parents
- Problem-solving skills and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group assessments to identify students’ learning, behavioral, and emotional needs
- Interpret assessment findings and provide clear, actionable recommendations for classroom interventions
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings to develop and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Offer counseling, crisis intervention, and positive behavior supports as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create supportive educational plans
- Stay current with best practices in school psychology and support professional development initiatives
