Embark on a dynamic contract role as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, supporting students ages 3-21 in a lively educational setting. This full-time, on-site opportunity begins August 11, 2026, and runs through May 26, 2027. You will be part of an engaged multidisciplinary team, providing essential services across 6–7 schools within a designated zone tailored to your ZIP code to ensure a manageable commute.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Texas COTA license required.
  • Demonstrated experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy (multiple years strongly preferred).
  • Comfort and proficiency in conducting evaluations and participating in ARDs.
  • Familiarity with SHARES school health or similar electronic documentation systems.
  • Must be available for full-time hours (37.5 per week, M–F).
  • District policy precludes applicants who are former employees.
  • Flexibility and organizational skills to manage both consultative and direct service models, with a caseload averaging 70 students (approximately 30–40 receiving direct services).
  • Willingness to complete or confirm fingerprinting for district credentialing.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with supervising Occupational Therapists to deliver high-quality therapy services, adapting to students’ diverse needs in both consult and direct models.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records using designated software and excel logs for IEP reporting.
  • Travel between assigned schools within your zone, efficiently managing your rotating caseload.
  • Attend meetings, participate in ARDS, and contribute insights to multidisciplinary teams to ensure students’ success.
