Qualifications and Experience
- Valid California Teaching Credential with Deaf and Hard of Hearing authorization REQUIRED
- Prior experience working in school-based environments preferred
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
- Collaborative mindset and genuine passion for supporting students with diverse needs
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized, individualized instruction to students with hearing impairments in a variety of educational settings
- Assess students’ abilities and design personalized learning plans and goals
- Provide resources and guidance to classroom teachers regarding best practices and inclusive strategies
- Facilitate IEP meetings and ensure all documentation is accurate and current
- Consult regularly with parents, school staff, and related services professionals to optimize support for each student
- Use assistive technologies and accommodations to help students access curriculum and learning opportunities
