Qualifications and Experience

• Valid California Teaching Credential with Deaf and Hard of Hearing authorization REQUIRED
• Prior experience working in school-based environments preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized, individualized instruction to students with hearing impairments in a variety of educational settings
• Assess students’ abilities and design personalized learning plans and goals
• Provide resources and guidance to classroom teachers regarding best practices and inclusive strategies
• Facilitate IEP meetings and ensure all documentation is accurate and current
• Consult regularly with parents, school staff, and related services professionals to optimize support for each student
• Use assistive technologies and accommodations to help students access curriculum and learning opportunities
