Project Estimator

Role Description The Project Estimator is a full-time, on-site role based in Cincinnati, OH. This position is responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for electrical projects by reviewing drawings, specifications, and project requirements. Day-to-day tasks include performing quantity takeoffs, analyzing labor and material costs, requesting and reviewing supplier and subcontractor quotes, and developing complete bid proposals. The Project Estimator will collaborate with project managers, field supervisors, and clients to clarify scopes of work, track changes, and update budgets as projects progress. This role also involves maintaining estimating tools and databases, documenting assumptions, and supporting contract negotiations to help ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Strong project estimation capabilities, including Project Estimation and Construction Estimating skills.

• Cost control and financial planning skills, including Cost Management and Budgeting abilities.

• Effective Communication skills, with the ability to present estimates, clarify scope, and collaborate with internal teams and clients.

• Proficiency with estimating software, spreadsheets, and basic project management tools.

• Knowledge of electrical construction methods, materials, and industry standards.

• Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Relevant experience in construction or electrical contracting; prior estimating experience is preferred.

• High school diploma required; additional technical training or a degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is beneficial.
