Drill Operator

The Drill Operator plays a vital role within a larger construction crew, primarily working on construction site drilling projects. This position requires hands-on experience with drilling machinery and involves coordinating with team members to prepare sites, operate equipment, and maintain safety standards. The role demands physical stamina, a willingness to travel weekly, and offers a clear path for advancement in the field.

Responsibilities

• Operate drilling machinery on construction sites
• Handle and maintain drilling equipment and power tools
• Perform manual labor including digging, lifting, and placing heavy objects
• Prepare sites for drilling operations and assist in locating project elements
• Adhere to safety protocols and promote a safe working environment
• Coordinate tasks effectively with the construction crew
• Travel weekly to various project locations as required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL Driver's license
• High school education or equivalent
• 2+ years underground utility experience
• Experience operating drilling machinery
• Good manual dexterity and machine-controlling skills
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, dig, and reach
• Capable of lifting, carrying, and placing heavy objects
• Willingness to travel weekly
