1st Grade Special Education Teacher - Franklin, Ohio

A dynamic contract position is available for a Special Education Teacher specializing in first grade, supporting students in a moderate to intense resource classroom for the upcoming school year. Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in special education or closely related field
• Preferred experience working with elementary-aged students in resource or self-contained settings
• Strong understanding of individualized education program (IEP) development and implementation
• Demonstrated ability to apply evidence-based interventions for diverse learning needs
• Excellent communication skills and flexibility when working with students, families, and school teams

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction and support for first-grade students with moderate to intense learning needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs to ensure student success and compliance with regulations
• Collaborate regularly with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families for integrated student support
• Modify and adapt instructional materials to meet individual learning styles and goals
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and related documentation as required
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture where every student is valued
