Physical Therapist - School Setting in Winter Garden, FL
Job Description
Make a difference in students’ lives as a Physical Therapist for the upcoming academic year! This full-time, on-site role will support students across K-12, including some Pre-K, by providing both direct and indirect services. The position follows a school-based schedule, with workdays running from 7:30am to 4:00pm and a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. You’ll typically provide services at two or three schools each day from a selection of 35 campuses, collaborating with another Physical Therapist and a PTA to manage a caseload of 94 students.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Professional Florida PT license is required
- Previous school-based experience is highly preferred, though those new to the setting are welcome to apply
- Strong collaboration skills for working with educators, PTAs, and school personnel
- Flexibility to travel between multiple school sites daily
- Commitment to timely documentation and participation in scheduled meetings
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy services to students with varied needs, using individualized plans to support academic and functional achievement
- Coordinate with educational teams and participate in multi-disciplinary meetings as required
- Maintain accurate and detailed progress notes in accordance with district guidelines
- Ensure compliance with credentialing, onboarding, and district-specific requirements
- Adapt to the itinerant nature of the position, balancing caseload and scheduling across assigned school sites
