Must Haves:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes.
Experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger accounting.
Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies independently.
Prior experience reviewing or preparing P&Ls and financial reports.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Experience mentoring, coaching, or leading junior accounting professionals.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Plusses:
Oracle Fusion experience.
Public accounting background.
Experience in entertainment, media, live events, hospitality, or project-based accounting environments.

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Accountant II to join a leading entertainment organization. This individual will play a key role in supporting month-end close activities, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and event/project accounting. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong analytical skills, experience working in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to mentor junior team members. This position offers an opportunity to partner cross-functionally with operations, finance, and business stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
- Review and reconcile event, project, and operational financial data to ensure accurate reporting and profitability analysis.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including P&Ls, and collaborate with operations teams to validate supporting documentation.
- Manage and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support for day-to-day accounting activities.
- Perform balance sheet and general ledger account reconciliations, researching and resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Prepare and post month-end journal entries and assist with monthly close processes.
- Support financial consolidations and reporting activities across multiple business units or regions. - Ensure timely and accurate financial settlements and payments.
- Maintain compliance with GAAP, company policies, internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.
- Prepare recurring financial schedules and reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
