Hospital Pharmacist in Comfort, TX

Support patient care at a well-established 120-bed community hospital in Comfort, TX, serving the Kerrville area. This contract pharmacist role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise in a dynamic hospital pharmacy environment.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare and dispense medications in accordance with hospital protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication therapy.
• Utilize Meditech electronic health records, MedKeeper for intravenous medication management, and Omnicell automated dispensing systems.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety guidelines.
• Provide medication counseling and education to patients and staff as needed.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday day shifts starting at 7 am, 8 am, or 9 am.
• Coverage every 4th weekend.
• Potential to transition to 2nd shift (11:45 am - 10:15 pm, 10-hour shifts) based on hospital needs.
• Flexibility with scheduling is highly valued.

Qualifications:

• Current Texas pharmacist license.
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Proficiency or willingness to learn Meditech, MedKeeper, and Omnicell systems.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Adaptability to changing schedules and environments.
