Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary students as a Special Education Teacher in a dynamic Social Emotional Behavior Classroom. This full-time, in-person contract position is conveniently located near West Hartford, CT, serving Grades 3-5. You'll work on a collaborative team focused on providing critical behavioral, academic, and social-emotional support to students who benefit from specialized instruction.

This position follows a schedule of 8:20 AM to 3:40 PM, Monday through Friday, totaling 40 hours each week. The assignment runs until October, with the possibility for extension, offering the chance for ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid state certification as a Special Education Teacher
  • Experience working in elementary education, particularly Grades 3-5, strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with social-emotional learning best practices and behavioral intervention strategies
  • Background in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, students, and families
  • Desire to work with children facing behavioral and emotional challenges
