Job Description

Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification in Child with Disabilities (Birth-age 5, K-8, or 7-12) (282) required
- Experience supporting elementary-age students with diverse learning needs
- Solid understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with other educators, staff, and families
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and encouraging classroom environment
- Ability to create differentiated lesson plans to meet individual student goals
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, adapt, and deliver instruction based on IEPs and tailored to each student’s strengths and needs
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies to support ongoing growth
- Collaborate with general education teachers and specialists to integrate inclusive practices
- Maintain accurate documentation, including progress notes, assessments, and compliance paperwork
- Engage parents and guardians, offering updates and resources to support student success at home and school
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff development sessions, and school-related activities
