Key Qualifications:

  • Valid certification in Child with Disabilities (Birth-age 5, K-8, or 7-12) (282) required
  • Experience supporting elementary-age students with diverse learning needs
  • Solid understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with other educators, staff, and families
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and encouraging classroom environment
  • Ability to create differentiated lesson plans to meet individual student goals

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop, adapt, and deliver instruction based on IEPs and tailored to each student’s strengths and needs
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies to support ongoing growth
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and specialists to integrate inclusive practices
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including progress notes, assessments, and compliance paperwork
  • Engage parents and guardians, offering updates and resources to support student success at home and school
  • Participate in IEP meetings, staff development sessions, and school-related activities
