Key Qualifications:
- Active Texas COTA license required
- Required: significant school-based or strong pediatric occupational therapy experience
- Must not be a former employee of the district
- Ability to work 37.5 hours per week, full-time only
- Familiarity with evaluations, ARD meetings, and IEP documentation
- Proficiency with school health documentation platforms (such as SHARES, Onward) and Excel logs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist an OT in managing a caseload of approximately 70 students, with around 30–40 receiving direct therapy services
- Conduct evaluations, consults, and periodic student interventions (frequency varies per IEP)
- Attend ARD meetings and act as a resource to multidisciplinary teams
- Navigate between 6–7 local schools, following a rotating schedule within the assigned geographic area
- Keep accurate documentation and logs for student progress and compliance
As part of this assignment, your daily routine will typically fall between 8:00 and 4:00 (occasionally starting as early as 7:30). District-specific credentialing, including fingerprinting, is required prior to the start date.
