Make a meaningful impact supporting K-12 students as a Physical Therapist in a collaborative school-based setting. This full-time contract position requires on-site work and will have you itinerantly serving multiple campuses within a dynamic educational environment. You'll join a supportive therapy team, sharing responsibilities for a manageable caseload, providing both direct and indirect services to students requiring your expertise.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid and current Florida Physical Therapist license (professional level).
  • Experience within school-based settings is highly preferred, though not mandatory.
  • Strong communication skills and the adaptability to work across several sites.
  • Enthusiasm for serving a diverse student group, including some Pre-K.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with another PT and a PTA.
  • Willingness to complete time-sensitive credentialing directly with the district, including onboarding, documentation, and weekly timesheet requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services to students in grades K-12, including some Pre-K.
  • Travel between assigned campuses each day (typically servicing 2-3 schools daily).
  • Assess, plan, and implement individualized therapy interventions to support student participation and educational goals.
  • Maintain clear documentation and participate in required meetings (not including COTA-only sessions).
  • Coordinate with faculty, families, and support staff to ensure holistic care.

What to Expect:

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
  • 8-hour days with a 30-minute unpaid lunch (7:30am – 4:00pm schedule).
  • Caseload shared with another PT and a PTA—total of 94 students distributed among therapists.
  • Opportunity to work across up to 35 schools within a supportive district.
  • Contract runs August 10, 2026 through May 28, 2027.
