Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Minnesota teaching license with dual certification in Special Education (PDF copy required for application)
- Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting is highly preferred
- Strong skills in developing and implementing IEPs for diverse learners
- Effective communication abilities with students, families, and colleagues
- Ability to adapt instruction and resources to serve individual student needs
Core Responsibilities:
- Manage a varied caseload of K-5 students needing special education services
- Develop and execute Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with district and state regulations
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to foster student success
- Utilize data and assessments to inform instruction and monitor progress
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and relevant trainings
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for compliance
This is a 37.5-hour-per-week contract role running from late August 2026 to early June 2027. You’ll play a key part in student achievement and personal growth within a supportive school environment.
