Special Education Teacher - Andover, Minnesota

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Minnesota teaching license with dual certification in Special Education (PDF copy required for application)
• Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting is highly preferred
• Strong skills in developing and implementing IEPs for diverse learners
• Effective communication abilities with students, families, and colleagues
• Ability to adapt instruction and resources to serve individual student needs

Core Responsibilities:

• Manage a varied caseload of K-5 students needing special education services
• Develop and execute Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with district and state regulations
• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to foster student success
• Utilize data and assessments to inform instruction and monitor progress
• Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and relevant trainings
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for compliance

This is a 37.5-hour-per-week contract role running from late August 2026 to early June 2027. You’ll play a key part in student achievement and personal growth within a supportive school environment.
