Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related discipline
- Active California license or credential relevant to school-based mental health services
- Previous experience in schools or pediatric settings preferred
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
- Collaborative approach to working with educational teams and support professionals
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group counseling tailored to student needs
- Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral development through evidence-based interventions
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to foster a supportive school climate
- Participate in student evaluation meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Maintain thorough documentation in alignment with school policies and clinical standards
- Provide crisis intervention and consultative services as required
