Overview: LHH is partnering with a respected law firm to identify a Litigation Paralegal for its Charleston, SC office. This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional looking to build upon their litigation experience while serving as a key member of a collaborative and growing team. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing litigation support, client communication, and office coordination responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft routine pleadings, affidavits, orders, correspondence, and other legal documents.
  • Proofread and review legal documents and written materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
  • Manage document control processes, including tracking and maintaining case files within client systems.
  • Prepare and electronically file documents in South Carolina state and federal courts.
  • Maintain litigation calendars and monitor deadlines, hearings, filings, and other case milestones.
  • Coordinate the collection, organization, and analysis of documents, records, and evidence in support of discovery efforts.
  • Provide regular case updates to clients and supervising attorneys.
  • Communicate professionally with court personnel, local counsel, opposing parties, and attorneys.
  • Assist attorneys with case management by utilizing legal and technical information to support decision-making and recommendations.
  • Serve as the primary on-site administrative contact for the Charleston office, coordinating office operations, vendor relationships, and administrative activities in partnership with firm leadership.
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical case files and support efficient day-to-day office operations.
  • Provide additional legal and administrative support as needed.
Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant.
  • Basic understanding of litigation procedures, civil litigation workflows, or real estate mortgage matters.
  • Associate's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Experience with electronic filing systems and court procedures preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and competing deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated initiative, self-motivation, and strong time management skills.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality client service and administrative support.
Details:
  • Employment Type: Direct Hire
  • Location: Charleston, SC
  • Compensation: $60,000-$75,000 annually
  • Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO
Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year
