Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a licensed pharmacist to serve as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) at a home infusion pharmacy operating under a 12-week contract. The role demands a pharmacist active in both New Jersey and California licensure, with a focus on overseeing pharmacy operations, compliance, and staff management.

Location: Wayne, NJ
Schedule/Hours:

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • No on-call duties required

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with sterile and hazardous drug compounding standards
  • Lead and support the development, training, and performance management of pharmacy staff
  • Maintain adherence to state and federal pharmacy laws, Board of Pharmacy regulations, and DEA requirements
  • Oversee a team comprising 7 Technicians, 4 Pharmacists, a Director of Pharmacy, and a Pharmacy Coordinator
  • Review and approve patient care plans, verifying therapy appropriateness, dosing, and medication compatibility

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

  • Active, unrestricted New Jersey and California pharmacist licenses
  • Prior experience in a management or Pharmacist in Charge role
  • Familiarity with sterile medication verification; IV compounding experience preferred but not required
  • Local candidates only
