Speech Language Pathologist in Attalla, AL

Step into a dynamic role providing speech-language pathology services for students in grades 5 and above throughout the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time contract opportunity supports three schools, helping students achieve their communication goals and succeed academically. As an experienced SLP, you will play a crucial part in enhancing students’ overall learning experience.

Key Qualifications:

• Possession of SLP-CCC credentials
• Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
• Ability to manage a caseload efficiently and compassionately
• Knowledge of assessing and treating a range of speech and language disorders in adolescents
• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
• Licensure in Alabama, or eligibility for state SLP licensure

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to a caseload of approximately 90 students across three schools
• Serve as case manager for about 30 students, overseeing IEPs and compliance
• Develop and implement individualized educational plans targeting communication needs
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student outcomes
• Complete timely documentation, progress monitoring, and reporting
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute actively to multidisciplinary teams
• Support school teams with in-service training and expert consultation
