As a licensed specialist in school psychology (LSSP) in Texas, you’ll play a vital part in supporting student success, collaborating with teams, and conducting assessments. Caseload age preferences can be discussed during the interview process, ensuring your experience and strengths are thoughtfully considered. Preferred Qualifications:
- Current, active TX state LSSP license or eligibility to obtain by start date
- Demonstrated experience as a School Psychologist within educational settings
- Knowledge of assessment tools, special education processes, and behavioral intervention strategies
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Comfort with technology for virtual meetings and documentation
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret results for eligibility determinations
- Provide counseling, consultation, and crisis intervention services for students as needed
- Collaborate in developing, implementing, and monitoring intervention plans and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing expertise to support student outcomes
- Maintain confidential records and comply with state and federal guidelines
