Qualifications & Skills:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current SLP license or eligibility for licensure in Illinois
- Previous experience in a school-based role is highly valued
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to evaluate, develop, and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Commitment to culturally responsive practices and inclusion
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students of diverse ages and needs
- Develop and deliver targeted therapy sessions, both individually and in groups
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and other specialists to support students’ success
- Maintain thorough documentation, progress notes, and data on student outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise for goal setting and service delivery
- Offer training and resources to educators and parents to promote communication development across settings
