Qualifications & Skills:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current SLP license or eligibility for licensure in Illinois
  • Previous experience in a school-based role is highly valued
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to evaluate, develop, and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Commitment to culturally responsive practices and inclusion

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students of diverse ages and needs
  • Develop and deliver targeted therapy sessions, both individually and in groups
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and other specialists to support students’ success
  • Maintain thorough documentation, progress notes, and data on student outcomes
  • Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise for goal setting and service delivery
  • Offer training and resources to educators and parents to promote communication development across settings
