This role is designed for an experienced Special Education Teacher ready to make a meaningful impact from September 15, 2026, through October 27, 2026. You'll be stepping in to cover a leave and will be an integral part of a dedicated school team focused on student growth and success.

Qualifications:

  • Active Connecticut Special Education Teacher License, with all up-to-date certifications required to teach in the state.
  • Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting.
  • Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, parents, and other educators.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to step in and support ongoing classroom initiatives during a leave period.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide instruction and support to students identified with special needs, adapting lessons and strategies to individual learning goals.
  • Work closely with school personnel to maintain continuity of educational plans and routines during the leave coverage.
  • Complete documentation and reporting in accordance with state and local requirements, including IEP meetings and progress tracking.
  • Create an inclusive and positive learning environment that encourages growth and development in all students.
  • Participate in team meetings and school initiatives as required during the assignment.
