General Information
Tell us about the unit(s): Level 4 designated maternal center caring for the most complex patients at any gestation
- Number of Beds 22 beds (16 labor beds)
- Number of Staff approx. 100 staff with RNs and support staff
- Type of staff:
- Day Shift 1 charge, minimum of 2 surg techs, 1 unit clerk, staff RNs to census, typically 10 staff during week and 7 during weekends
- Night Shift 1 charge, minimum of 2 surg techs, 1 unit clerk, staffs to census, typically 9 staff during the week and 7 during the weekends
- Patient Ratios 1:2, 1:1
- Type of equipment
- EMR CPN and Meditech
- Permanent Positions on Unit Avaliable? (Y/N) Yes nights and weekend plan
Typical hiring profile
Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)
Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
- Experience with high risk maternal patients
- Circulating Operating room and triage
Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
- Greater than 5 years' experience
List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
- Vaginal and Cesarean section deliveries, tubal ligations, cerclage placement and removal, D&C
- C-hyst, PASD cases
