Responsibilities

Draw quality blood specimens from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations

Prepare specimens for laboratory testing following established procedures

Verify patient demographics and ensure accurate labeling of specimens in a timely manner

Explain procedures to patients to foster trust and comfort

Maintain accurate records and documentation of collected samples and patient information

Create a safe, professional, and welcoming environment in all clinical settings

Travel between multiple locations to perform phlebotomy duties as required

Exercise good judgment and decision-making based on established policies and procedures

Adhere to all safety, confidentiality, and workplace policies and procedures

Required Skills

Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary blood collection

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Attention to detail and accuracy in labeling and data entry

Ability to handle high-volume, fast-paced environments

Reliable transportation with a clean driving record for travel between multiple sites

Proficiency in keyboard and data entry processes

Additional Skills & Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred

Phlebotomy certification preferred, especially in California, Nevada, and Washington

1-3 years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric and geriatric collections

Experience working in a Patient Service Center environment is a plus

Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and on-call hours

Reliable transportation necessary for travel between multiple work sites

Availability to work scheduled shifts, with punctuality and attendance essential
