Patient Diagnoses: STEMI/NSTEMI, CHF, Heart Failure, Sepsis, Respiratory Failure, Valve Stenosis/Insufficiency, AFIB, Chest Pain, DVT, Cardiac Arrest, Cardiogenic Shock
Special Procedures/Unit Details: Level 1 CVICU c/ direct from OR Open Heart recovery, post op valve replacement/repair, aneurysm repair, ARDS Proning
Special Equipment: Chest tubes, Temporary Pacers, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy, ECMO, Impella, Pump, EKOS

Job Overview

Description:
**These positions REQUIRE experience with the following:**
• Impella
• Post Cardiac Surgery (directly from the OR)
• Post Cardiac Surgery (Not directly from the OR)
• Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention
• Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring
• thermodilution PA cath monitoring

36- or 48-hours shift is available

Minimum 1 YEAR CVICU experience REQUIRED (dedicated CVICU staff exp)
Level 1 Trauma experience preferred

Important Notes: Will take first time travelers, do not need Ohio license in hand at signing

**For 48-hour contracts, OT is paid out after 48 hours**

**Targeted patient ratios are 1:2**

Must have the following requirements:
• Pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting the assignment.
• BLS, ACLS and NIHSS required - must be able to read and interpret strips
• Experience with A-Lines vents drips sheaths dialysis and draw ABGs.
• Travel experience preferred
**EPIC experience Required**

Floating and Other Requirements

Traveler will be first to float at Premier's discretion. Agency will float in/out of specialty clusters. It will be assigned a medically appropriate assignment or support the nursing care team of the unit floated to.
If assigned to MVH, this could include floating main campus (Dayton) south campus (Centerville) less than 10 miles from Main Campus and North Campus (Englewood) less than 15 miles from Main Campus.
Traveler must be available to work every other weekend/holiday.
Premier Health reserves the right to cancel 2 shifts due to low census per 13-week contract.
Premier Health reserves the right to cancel agreement with 2 weeks' notice without fee or fine.
Travelers are not eligible for Premier health employee incentives.

RTO

Request RTO with initial submittal; NO RTO will be added after the offer. RTO approval will be at the Manager's discretion.
