Business Analyst
\n24+ Months contract, (Remote)
\nBaton Rouge, LA
\nThe scope of the proposed services will include the following:
\nDefine and document business functions and processes.
\nAnalyze the integration of business functions with technology.
\nMaintain a working knowledge of accounting, procurement, finance or contract management.
\nAssist with business case development and business process reengineering.
\nConsult with management and personnel to identify, define and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements.
\nRecommend new processes that yield operational efficiencies.
\nConduct cost-benefit analysis.
\nDevelop or assist with project work plans, project timelines.
\nDevelop or assist with ITBs, RFIs, RFRs, RFPs and contracts.
\nThe Business Analyst should be familiar with State of Louisiana procurement laws and procedures, and also have experience in developing technical specifications and negotiating with vendors to acquire IT assets.
\nExpertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are mandatory:
\nBachelors degree
\nExceptional written and oral communication skills, analytical skills, and familiarity with a range of computer software
\nSolid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail
\nStrong Excel skills required, including data modelling and ad hoc analysis
\nAvailable to work from Baton Rouge, LA on a regular basis
\nExpertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are desirable but not mandatory:
\nAbility to discern key themes within large, complex datasets
\nApplication of specialized skills within a government agency environment
\nSkilled in project design and management
\nCapability with PowerBi and Power Automate
\nExperience in data visualization, especially for external audiences
