Desired Experience & Skills:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience in elementary and/or high school settings
- Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction for unique learner needs
- Familiarity with IEP development and progress monitoring
- Effective classroom management strategies
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Skill in supporting students with life skills and adaptive needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet students’ specific needs
- Provide direct instruction in academic, social, and life skills areas
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, parents, and support staff
- Collect and analyze data to refine instruction and track progress
- Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
