Make a meaningful impact in the classroom supporting students with diverse learning needs as a full-time Special Education/Dyslexia Teacher. Located within a welcoming school community near Cleveland, TX, this contract role offers an exciting opportunity for an educator passionate about special education and literacy.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current Special Education certification required
  • Dyslexia certification strongly preferred (if not, willingness to obtain is appreciated)
  • Experience working with students who have learning differences or dyslexia is highly valued
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with both students and faculty
  • Flexibility, patience, and an enthusiastic approach to teaching

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs) and 504 plans
  • Support students with dyslexia using proven strategies and interventions
  • Coordinate and collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and support staff
  • Monitor, assess, and document student progress regularly
  • Foster an inclusive and encouraging classroom environment that values each learner
  • Participate in meetings and professional development as required
  • If not already dyslexia certified, willingness to obtain the necessary training (note: compensation does not cover training days or fees)
