This is an itinerant position serving a caseload of 15-20 students, traveling between 2-3 assigned sites daily plus an accessible homebase for planning and coordination. School-based experience is highly valued and helps ensure success, but applicants passionate about making a difference are welcomed.

What you’ll bring:

• Active Florida Professional License in Visual Impairment (TVI)
• Orientation & Mobility Specialist (OMS) certification
• Experience collaborating in school settings is highly preferred
• Knowledge of providing direct and indirect support for students with visual impairments (K-12)
• Strong organizational skills to juggle multi-site assignments
• Ability to work both independently and as a part of an interdisciplinary team

Primary responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support to visually impaired students, adapting curriculum to meet unique learning needs
• Itinerant service delivery model with consultative roles in some cases (on a monthly basis)
• Assess student abilities, develop IEP goals and keep thorough service records
• Collaborate with general education teachers, family members, and service providers
• Travel between assigned campuses with the district’s main office as your workspace hub
• Actively participate in onboarding and compliance processes directly managed by the district
