Equipment Transport Technician

We are seeking an Equipment Tech who will be responsible for transporting equipment from a central warehouse to various client sites across Virginia and North Carolina. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and eager to grow their skillset beyond delivery work. This role offers exposure to technical equipment and hands-on training opportunities in areas like network cabling and fiber optics, making it a great fit for someone looking to build a career in operations or IT support while maintaining a strong logistics foundation.

Day to Day:

• Deliver equipment from Richmond warehouse to multiple sites across NC & VA.
• Load and transport 2–3 site deliveries per trip efficiently.
• Verify pick lists before leaving warehouse and prior to delivery.
• Assist as a backup Material Specialist when needed.
• Handle and transport IT, network, and electronic equipment - does not have to have IT background.
• Maintain delivery schedules and ensure timely drop-offs.
• Participate in ongoing training (network cabling, fiber, IT equipment handling).

Requirements:

• 2-5 years delivering equipment or goods
• Knowledge of inventory analysis/tracking processes
• Demonstrated practical warehouse safety operations
• Excellent customer service and communications skills
• Problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to process information quickly and accurately.
• Proficient computer skills with solid knowledge of Microsoft applications and keyboard proficiency

Vehicle + Driving Requirements:

• Valid State Driver’s License
• Clean Driving record and personal vehicle insurance
• Access to a reliable vehicle (owned or rented), *mileage reimbursement paid out weekly*
• • SUV or truck with enclosed bed for deliveries minimum
  • Box truck or delivery vehicle preferred.
• Must have experience driving larger box style trucks and can rent one when needed. Cost of rental will be expensed
• Ability to travel regularly across North Carolina and Virginia.
