Make a positive difference every day in the lives of K-5th grade students as a high-needs special education teacher with a focus on Autism Spectrum Disorder. This contract role offers a full-time weekday schedule aligned with the traditional school calendar, providing meaningful structure along with an engaging, supportive environment. With a manageable caseload of 8-10 students in one school site, you’ll be empowered to create real impact and foster growth in a collaborative setting.

In this role, you’ll participate in pre-service training beginning August 10, integrating with a team dedicated to exceptional student support before welcoming students on August 24. This rewarding assignment continues through June 23, allowing you to build lasting relationships and see your students’ development throughout the academic year.

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience as a special education teacher, especially supporting students on the Autism Spectrum
  • Confidence in working with K-5th grade students and managing IEPs tailored to unique needs
  • Ability to collaborate professionally with teachers, staff, and administration
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive, stimulating learning environment
  • Reliable availability for a Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm schedule following the school year

Key responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, individualized instruction for students with diverse learning needs
  • Monitor, assess, and document student progress and growth
  • Partner with teachers, aides, and families for holistic student success
  • Support communication, social skills, and academic goals aligned with each IEP
  • Foster a nurturing, structured classroom atmosphere
