Step into a rewarding contract role for the 2024-2025 school year as a Speech-Language Pathologist, where you’ll play a vital part in supporting high school seniors as they prepare for transition beyond graduation. This assignment begins August 19, 2024, and continues through May 30, 2025, offering a consistent 35-hour workweek in a collaborative school environment.

You'll primarily engage with 12th-grade students, employing your expertise and SLP-CCC credential to impact outcomes for those navigating their final year. Exact caseload numbers are to be determined, but your ability to individualize therapy and support each student’s unique needs will be crucial.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid SLP-CCC certification
  • Active state licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Prior experience working within school settings, particularly with high school populations, preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Passion for helping students overcome academic, social, and communication challenges

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy services to 12th-grade students according to IEP goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement individualized plans
  • Maintain detailed therapy records and progress reports
  • Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and re-evaluations
  • Contribute to student transition planning and postsecondary preparedness
  • Provide consultation and resources to support classroom teams
