Job Description
Step into a meaningful role supporting students’ communication needs as a contracted Speech-Language Pathologist in an educational environment near Beaverton, OR. If you’re passionate about empowering students to reach their communication goals, this part-time position provides a great opportunity to make a direct impact within a supportive staff community.
Enjoy a balanced schedule, working 20 hours per week on-site across four days at two different schools. You’ll provide specialized services to approximately 25 students, all of whom receive special education support in a communication-focused classroom program. Your expertise will help shape students’ academic and social progress through targeted, individualized intervention.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Active license (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC or CFY)
- Prior experience in school-based or pediatric settings is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of special education processes, compliance, and assessments
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to create and implement IEPs and data-driven therapy plans
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to a diverse group of students
- Conduct evaluations, develop goals, and document student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
- Serve as a resource for communication support and strategies within the classroom
- Maintain up-to-date records in accordance with school and program requirements
