Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Mentor, Ohio

Step into a rewarding role supporting young learners as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year. This contract opportunity near Mentor, OH, offers you the chance to make a lasting impact on students in Kindergarten through 5th grade from August 7, 2026, through May 28, 2027. With a steady, 37.5-hour work week, you’ll play a key part in shaping students’ communication skills and supporting their educational journey.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid SLP license; Clinical Certificate of Competence (CCC) preferred, but Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates are welcome
• Experience or specific interest in pediatric and school-based speech-language therapy
• Strong assessment, intervention, and documentation abilities
• Enthusiasm for working with K–5th grade students
• Solid understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and compliance requirements
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with teachers, administrators, and families

In this role, you will:

• Deliver speech and language therapy services to elementary-aged students, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, and intervention
• Develop and implement customized treatment plans in accordance with each student’s IEP
• Work collaboratively with educators and other school professionals to support students’ learning goals
• Participate in IEP meetings, provide progress updates, and communicate proactively with families
• Maintain accurate, timely records in compliance with school and state guidelines
• Advocate for students’ needs and promote inclusion within school settings
