Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state or eligibility to obtain one
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting (preferred but not required)
  • Strong knowledge of IEP process, therapy goal development, and documentation
  • Compassionate, patient approach with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate well with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and therapy sessions
  • Support students with fine motor, sensory, and self-care challenges
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
  • Maintain up-to-date records and detailed progress notes per district requirements
  • Educate staff and parents on strategies to promote student success and independence
  • Adjust interventions based on progress and feedback
