Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state or eligibility to obtain one
- Previous experience in a school-based setting (preferred but not required)
- Strong knowledge of IEP process, therapy goal development, and documentation
- Compassionate, patient approach with excellent communication skills
- Ability to collaborate well with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and therapy sessions
- Support students with fine motor, sensory, and self-care challenges
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
- Maintain up-to-date records and detailed progress notes per district requirements
- Educate staff and parents on strategies to promote student success and independence
- Adjust interventions based on progress and feedback
